Dear Perfectionism,
Here’s another lesson I’m doomed to learn over and over again: taking things too seriously.
A glum mood 😞: “What’s the point in Monday? What’s the point in anything?!”
Someone else’s words 🗣️: “I’m not a terrible human, honestly I’m not.”
Decisions ❓: “This is life or death - my entire future is at stake.”
Romance ❣️: “If it’s not sincere and intense, it’s not real.”
Learning 🧑🏾🏫: “I must get this right - first time.”
I know you want me to try my best (at everything) but I have this sneaky feeling that some things (more things) ought to be fun. Held lightly. Played with.
I did it again: ‘DOOMED’! 😆
