Dear Perfectionism,

There’s a really satisfying, simple, joyful, mischief in being contrary - going against the mainstream, I’ve found.

For example: when we halt work at 1pm on a weekday to spend the rest of the afternoon taking care of myself, reading a book. Or doing the opposite on a Saturday - being productive with a coffee and a croissant, while everyone else switches off. ✌🏼

Yes, satisfying is the word 😎. To be wilfully disobedient, micro-naughty, or difficult in a kind of playful, freeing way -breaking the rules, only ever so slightly.

Agency over compliance.

I guess that’s an edge for you. 😈
