Dear Perfectionism,

That new floor we laid in the bathroom this weekend was a perfect storm, wasn’t it? 🌪️

All neat, straight lines and flat surfaces that wouldn’t stay neat, straight or flat.

💥 Then I accidentally gouged a hole in it. Then you tried to make it better again by insisting I made the hole bigger, so I could fill it.

Then we couldn’t make it neat again - only worse. 😤

Twenty years ago this would have finished me.

Instead, I let it be…

And bought a new rug to cover the new floor. 😇

I’m happy for us. We’ve come along way.
